We Seek To…

Raise awareness and uplift artisans by utilizing their artwork to create unique and vibrant garments, by using sustainable materials.

Welcome to Naytra – the vibrant world of one-of-a-kind wearable art with our unique 100% pure mulberry silk tunics, tops, and scarves. Our exclusive, collection is based on artwork created by folk artisans dedicated to keeping the ancient folk art of Madhubani (meaning a “forest of honey”) alive.

Naytra is a female-founded, female-run business founded on three key principles:

We work directly with female folk artists living in remote Indian villages. The artwork they create is mesmerizing. Our goal is to eliminate all the middlemen and work with these artisans directly, make sure they are being paid a fair wage for their artwork and support them and their communities

Work towards eliminating curable blindness across the world by donating a portion of our profit to perform procedures and surgeries, by supporting Seva Foundation.

“The eyes are the windows to the soul”— Shakespeare.

we believe that our eyes are a window to our inner world —our feelings, thoughts, and views of the universe.

Hence, the birth of “Naytra” (means “Eyes” in Hindi & Sanskrit — and pronounced as “neh-trah”).

We aspire to work with you to cure blindness. Every time you purchase a piece from Naytra, you are giving someone the gift of eyesight.

Through Naytra’s journey, we aspire to touch and impact as many lives and people, so that we can help the underserved communities around the globe and give back.

This is our story! Thank you for being a part of our journey and making this world a more “seeable” place.

This is our gift to the world.

Help mother earth by creating keepsake garments versus fast fashion.

Sustainability means taking care of our Mother Earth. We all have the responsibility to ensure the best future possible for our future generations.

We have adopted an absolutely no plastic policy. We use 100% pure mulberry silk – no man-made fiber at all. We only work with manufacturing partners that are Standard 100 OEKO-TEX certified. Additionally, all the packaging material used is eco-friendly and your Naytra tunic or scarf will come in a special design cotton bag, with a recycled paper box and with hand-tags made out from recycled paper.

We also promote slow fashion as our hope is that our statement pieces will remain in our customer’s closets for a long time.
